Beyoncé vs. Gisele For H&M

beyonceWhile Beyoncé modeled for the H&M Summer 2013 collection, Gisele Bundchen is going to be the face of the Autumn/Winter 2013 collection, according to OMG!.

Below, see the video of Beyoncé singing “Standing on the Sun” from her forthcoming album while she wears H&M bikinis, cover-ups, dresses etc.

Beyoncé looks hot beyond words in a fringed, black string bikini followed by a blue tie-dye number which billows around her.

She’s also featured in a mini dress in various shades of blue which truly makes her look “bootilicious” and, towards the end, she wears an LBD with beading.

It looks like Mrs. Carter definitely had the harder job here because she had to look smashing in several skin-baring outfits whereas Bundchen will be pretty much covered up in the Autumn/Winter collection.

As the video below shows, Gisele Bundchen, the 32-year-old Brazilian model, who used to work for Victoria’s Secret, does have thighs and abs to die for but Beyoncé seems to have an edge in terms of booty.

Although Beyoncé didn’t seem to have much in that area when she sang the famous “bootilicious” song, the passage of years and having a baby have actually resulted in the star developing more curvature.

Beyoncé Questioned on Lip-Sync

Report-Beyonce-lip-synched-at-inauguration-ceremonyUS-POLITICS-INAUGURATION-SWEARING IN-OBAMA
WASHINGTON (AP) — There’s no question Beyoncé’s rendition of the national anthem was a roaring success. The mystery: Was it live or lip-synced?

On Tuesday, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Marine Band told news outlets that Beyoncé had lip-synced at President Barack Obama’s inauguration. Master Sgt. Kristin duBois said the band was notified at the last minute that Beyoncé would use a prerecorded voice track.

But by late afternoon, the Marine Corps backed off that statement.

Marine Corps spokesman Capt. Gregory Wolf said that because there was no opportunity for Beyoncé to rehearse with the Marine Band, it was determined that a live performance by the band was ill-advised. Instead they used a prerecorded track for the band’s portion of the song.

“Regarding Ms. Knowles-Carter’s vocal performance,” Wolf’s statement continued, “no one in the Marine Band is in a position to assess whether it was live or pre-recorded.”

A representative for Beyoncé did not respond to requests for comment.

Tell us on Facebook: Does it matter if Beyoncé was lip-syncing?

DuBois declined to answer further questions. Earlier in the day, she told The New York Times that the rest of the inaugural performance was live and they did not know why a recorded track was used for the national anthem.

“It’s not because Beyoncé can’t sing. We all know Beyoncé can sing. We all know the Marine Band can play,” she said.

Kelly Clarkson’s representative said she sang live to perform “America (My Country ‘Tis of Thee).”

All inaugural music is prerecorded in case weather conditions or other circumstances interrupt the program.

The use of a recording is typical in big events. In 2009, cellist Yo-Yo Ma was questioned about “hand-syncing” for Obama’s first inauguration. Ma said instruments weren’t functioning properly in 19-degree weather.

Beyonce Knowles Biography

Born on September 4, 1981 in Houston, Texas, Beyoncé Knowles first captured the public’s eye as lead vocalist of the R&B group Destiny’s Child. She later established a solo career, becoming one of music’s top-selling artists with sold-out tours and a slew of awards. Knowles has also starred in several films, including Dream Girls. Quotes

“Whenever I’m out in public, I have to be put together. When I get home, I rebel against it and I don’t want to take care of anything. I drop it. I’m relaxed. I don’t have any shoes on. No makeup.”

– Beyoncé Knowles

Early Life and Career

Born Beyoncé Giselle Knowles on September 4, 1981, in Houston, Texas, Knowles started singing at an early age. As a child, she competed in local talent shows, and won many of these events by impressing audiences with her natural singing and dancing abilities.

Teaming up with her cousin, Kelly Rowland, and two classmates, Beyoncé formed an all-female singing group. Her father, Matthew Knowles, served as the band’s manager. The group went through some name and line-up changes before landing a record deal in 1997 with Columbia Records. Destiny’s Child soon became one of the most popular R&B acts, with the release of their first, self-titled album. Gaining momentum, the group scored its first No. 1 single on the pop charts with “Bills, Bills, Bills,” off their second album. The recording also featured another smash hit, “Say My Name.”

While enjoying her group’s success, Beyoncé began exploring other projects. She made her acting debut in 2001 with a starring role in MTV’s Carmen: A Hip Hopera. She then co-starred with Mike Myers in the spy parody Goldmember the following year. On the musical front, Beyoncé took center stage as a solo artist, releasing her first album, Dangerously in Love, in 2003. The recording became a huge success for her, both commercially and critically. It sold millions of copies and won five Grammy Awards. On the album, Beyoncé worked with a number of different artists, including Missy Elliott, Sean Paul and Jay-Z. She was rumored to be dating Jay-Z around this time, but the couple did not publicly acknowledge their relationship.

Destiny’s Child released their last studio album, Destiny Fulfilled, in 2004, and officially broke up the following year.

Solo Career

On her own, Beyoncé continued to enjoy great success. Her second studio album, 2006’s B’Day featured such hits as “Irreplaceable” and “Beautiful Liar.” On the big screen, she starred opposite Jennifer Hudson, Jaime Foxx and Eddie Murphy in Dreamgirls. The film was adapted from the hit Broadway musical of the same name.

In 2008, Beyoncé married rapper and music mogul Jay-Z in a small, private ceremony in New York City. Among the guests sighted at the wedding were Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles; her father and manager Matthew; her sister Solange; Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams; and friend Gwyneth Paltrow.

The newlywed continued to work as hard as ever, promoting her latest effort, I am … Sasha Fierce (2008). Beyoncé scored two big hits off the album—”Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” and “If I Were a Boy.” She also returned to the big screen that year, starring as R&B legend Etta James in Cadillac Records. The following January, Beyoncé sang James’ trademark song, “At Last,” for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at his inaugural

In addition to acting and performing, Beyoncé runs a clothing line called House of Dereon with her mother. She also launched her own fragrance, Heat, in 2010. During her career, Beyoncé has served as a spokesperson and model for several other brands, including L’Oreal and Tommy Hilfiger.

Recently,

Beyoncé found herself under fire for performing a private concert for Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi on New Year’s Eve in 2010. She later donated her fee from the event to help victims of the Haitian earthquake. According to some reports, Beyoncé said that her father had been responsible for arranging the Libyan concert. She decided to drop her father as her manager in March 2011.

Despite this passing controversy, the future looks bright for Beyoncé. She began work on a new album, and was signed on as the headlining act at the Glastonbury Festival in southwest England.

Personal Life

Married to Jay-Z since 2008, Beyoncé was the subject of many pregnancy rumors over the years. In 2011, however, the notoriously private couple went public with the news of their impending new arrival. Beyoncé showed off her growing baby bump at the MTV Video Music Awards that August.

By the end of 2011, there had been several false reports of Beyoncé delivering her baby. She and Jay-Z finally welcomed their daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, on January 7, 2012. The couple spared no expense to maintain their privacy during this special time—renting out a floor of New York’s Lenox Hill Hospital.

Beyonce Knowles Loss Weight Drinking Lemon Cayenne Pepper Detox Drink

Did you Know: The slim and trim Beyonce Knowles in the movie Dreamgirls lived on a crash diet consisting of lemon cayenne pepper drink for 14 days to reduce 20 pounds, in order to fit into the role of a teenager! Read on to know more about how to make this detox drink.
Otherwise known as Beyonce Knowles Diet, lemon juice detox or lemon detox diet is basically a liquid diet comprising lemon cayenne pepper drink. It is claimed to be effective for cleansing the body and for boosting energy. Lemon detox diet is also said to be beneficial for weight loss. Another advantage of this formulation is that it is very easy to prepare the drink, as it requires only a few ingredients that are easily available and inexpensive.
Making Lemon Cayenne Pepper Drink
Ingredients: Fresh Lemon Juice (freshly squeezed juice from ripe, organic lemons: don’t use concentrate) Organic grade B maple syrup Cayenne pepper powder Filtered water (don’t use tap water or distilled water) You can prepare a single serving of the drink with the help of the following guidelines.Take a glass that is big enough to contain 10 ounces of water. Pour five ounces of filtered water into it. Add two tablespoons of fresh lemon juice to the water. Mix two tablespoons of organic grade B maple syrup to the mixture. Then add 1/10 teaspoon cayenne pepper. Add the remaining five ounces of filtered water and stir well. One serving of lemon cayenne pepper detox drink is ready. A dieter is supposed to drink 6 to 12 servings a day. You can even prepare this drink as per your requirement for a day and refrigerate it. Don’t store it for more than a day, as the drink should be consumed fresh, so as to be effective.
Those who are on lemon detox diet are supposed to have this drink for a stipulated time (usually three to 10 days). Dieters are not allowed to consume any solid food or any other drink, during this period. They are permitted to drink water, in small amounts. It is said that consumption of solid food hampers the detoxification process. Herbal laxatives and saltwater flush are allowed once a day, so as to facilitate bowel movement. Strenuous physical activities, smoking and alcohol consumption are also not permitted.
Lemon Detox Diet Guidelines
Preparation
It is always better to prepare well rather than starting the diet all of a sudden. A three-day preparation will be sufficient for this diet. On day one, avoid meat, dairy products and processed food. Have fresh fruits and vegetables. On day two, consume soups, broths and smoothies only. On day three, you must stick to fresh orange juice and no other food or beverages (except plain and pure water). Two liters of orange juice mixed with water, will be sufficient for the day. You may also add a small amount of organic maple syrup to the juice. Have laxatives at night.
Diet Tips
As you start the diet, take laxatives to ensure daily bowel movement. Herbal laxatives like senna tea can be taken at bedtime. This can be supplemented with saltwater flush (optional) during morning hours. The solution can be made by mixing two teaspoons of sea salt (don’t use the iodized version) in a quart (32 ounces) of water. Drinking this solution (preferably in one go) will trigger bowel movement. You may slightly increase the amount of salt, if the method fails the purpose. Saltwater flush can be omitted on the first day of the lemon detox diet. If your aim is weight loss, then drink minimal amounts of lemonade (six to eight glasses per day). For detoxification, increase intake of lemonade to more than twelve glasses a day. Plain water can be consumed throughout the day. Whatever may be your aim, start with twelve glasses of lemonade, on day one. You may increase or decrease the amount gradually. Continue this for the stipulated period (three to 10 days or more).
How to Come Off the Diet
It is not at all advisable to stop the diet and start having regular food right away. This may upset the digestive system. So wait for at least three days, before you start regular food. Once you stop lemon detox diet, all you have to do is to repeat what you did during the preparation phase, but in reverse order. Consume only orange juice for a day. Go for soups, broths and juices during the next day. Have lots of fruits and vegetables on the third day. You can start regular food from the fourth day. This is only a brief overview about lemon cayenne pepper detox drink and its use for weight loss and detoxification. Before trying this diet, you must have a thorough knowledge about the dos and don’ts. As there is a lot of speculation about the effectiveness and side effects of this cleansing diet, always make sure you consult your nutritionist or dietitian before venturing the same. Those with health problems (especially of the digestive system), must seek the opinion of their doctor, before starting such diet programs. Otherwise too, it is better to have a word with your doctor, beforehand.

Solange Knowles releases artsy music video for ‘Losing You’

Beyonce who? The “Single Ladies” singer’s younger sister is making a name for herself in the music industry, thanks to her brand new single, “Losing You,” and its artsy music video. Filmed in Cape Town, South Africa, the clip features the 26-year-old dancing throughout a poor neighborhood in brightly-colored outfits (and a huge afro) with an eccentric entourage of people dressed in equally-crazy fashions.

“When [director Melina Matsoukas] and I decided to film ‘Losing You’ in South Africa, we really didn’t have a real firm concept in place,” Solange explains to Pitchfork.com. “It was sort of a grab a camera and let’s go moment. I knew I wanted to capture a couple things: the vibe of our friendship and all of the crazy escapades we’ve gotten ourselves into all over the world, and the abstract and elegant Le Sape Society (Society for the Advancement of People of Elegance) formed in the Congo which was documented by Daniele Tamagni in his Gentleman of Bacongo book. We called Daniele to guide us, and some of my friends from New York came down to Cape Town and we all had a very damn good time.”

The ’80s-esque song, the first off her upcoming (and still untitled) third album, was just released on Monday, but it’s already causing a lot of buzz from fans and critics alike. Spin magazine describes “Losing You” as a “remarkable song in its own right, with a breezy fusion of singer-centric R&B, 1980s pop, and lanky, mid-tempo hip house beats,” while the L.A. Times said it has a “snappy, relaxed groove that sounds as if it had been unearthed from a dusty ’80s jukebox.”

On Tuesday, Solange tweeted that she was “So humbled, & grateful for the overwhelming response.”

Beyoncé’s Newest Look: Long Box Braids!

A new mom deserves a new look, and Beyoncé stepped out with an entirely new hairdo this week! The singer, who has favored long flowy hair for over a decade, was spotted Wednesday morning with long box braids wrapped up in a massive bun.

It’s been long time since she’s looked like this (she briefly had braids in 1999 while in Destiny’s Child).

The decision may have been inspired by Beyoncé’s style-savvy younger sister Solange, who currently has braids almost to her knees!

Out and about with her baby Blue Ivy in NYC, Beyoncé looked great in minimal makeup, simple hoop earrings and colorful ikat jumper, appearing more down-to-earth than her usual super glam self. And since the hair is a throwback to the 90s, she looks younger too!

Certainly with the responsibility of a new baby, Beyoncé must not have as much time to do her hair. So the braids are a fun, easier way to manage a look for the new mom.

Kanye West Serenades Kim Kardashian at Concert

Her hip hop Romeo!

Kanye West entertained a crowd of thousands for a solo concert at Revel Resort in Atlantic City on Friday night — but the Grammy winner, 35, only had eyes for girlfriend Kim Kardashian, watching the show in the VIP box with BFF Jonathan Cheban.

VIDEO: Kanye tells Kim how to dress

The reality star, 31, joyously sang and danced along during her man’s raved-about concert (his first solo appearance in over a year).  And when West performed one of his newer songs, “Way Too Cold” (formerly known as “Theraflu”), the rapper serenaded his love directly.

In the instantly famous track, which first leaked back in April and helped confirm the Kardashian-West romance, West raps “I admit I fell in love with Kim.”

At another point during the show, West bellowed to the crowd: “If you love someone tonight..hold on real tight!” Kardashian hugged Cheban and then herself jokingly.

Last weekend, the couple had a double date of sorts with West’s recent touring partner and collaborator Jay-Z and his wife, Beyonce — with the high-profile foursome sitting in the front row at the BET Awards.

Destiny’s Child to release two more albums, says Beyonce’s father

Seven years after calling it quits and launching solo careers, Destiny’s Child is returning … kind of. In an interview with the Huffington Post, Matthew Knowles, Beyonce’s father and the manager of the mega-successful R&B girl group, revealed that not one, but two more albums will be released in November. Both will be compilations of older songs, freshened up with previously-unreleased tracks, he says.

But fans shouldn’t start saving up for those concert tickets just yet. Knowles adds that there are no tour plans for Destiny’s Child — which in addition to his daughter includes Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams — at least “not on the first release” since he claims it would take a year to organize. “I hope in the next five years that there is a reunion tour,” he adds. “I think it would be incredible. The hardest thing would be choosing which songs they’re going to do, because we would want to mix it up with solo hits and Destiny’s Child hits.”

Beyonce, Kelly, and Michelle.

Despite Knowles’ optimism, no one should hold their breath that the three members of Destiny’s Child will ever perform on the same stage again. Although Rowland and Williams would probably be interested, Beyonce has found success on a much grander scale as a solo artist with 27 million albums sold and 12 Top 10 hit songs. (In comparison, Rowland is a judge on the UK version of “The X Factor” and Williams is a gospel singer whose last album sold 32,000 copies in the U.S.) Not to mention, last year the “Love on Top” singer fired her father — who sired a son with his mistress in February 2010 while married to his now-ex-wife Tina Knowles — as her manager after it was discovered that he had reportedly “stolen money from Beyonce on her most recent tour … that [he] was not entitled to” after she had her law firm conduct an audit.

Would you be excited if Destiny’s Child did reunite?

Eye Makeup Shades from Today and Throughout the Decades

Eye Makeup of TV and Movie Stars in the 1940’s

You can tell the decade in which a movie was made by the eye-makeup of the stars. In the forties fashions, it was either glamorous or understated, depending on the scene (evening and dressy or daytime and subtle) and the character (bad women wore lots of eye shadow, day and night). Eyebrows were mostly plucked out and painted or drawn on slightly higher, although some stars, like Betty Becall, got away with slender, perfectly-shaped natural brows.

1. Diana Ross

2. Chaka Khan

If you look at Marilyn Monroe, you can see Marilyn Monroe wore lots of makeup. Eye shadow was light if she used it at all (in her 1960’s Marilyn Monroe, she wore lots of bright blue shadow),but Max Factor laid on the mascara, and her brows were made up with pencil, usually in a curved fashion that accessorized her sexy persona.

Applying Eye Make-up and Shadow:                                  Taking the Guesswork Out of Choosing the Right Eye Shadow Shade

The world of eye shadows available today can be quite overwhelming.  From shimmers to matte and brights to neutrals.  Eye shadows are available in just about every color under the sun.  If you are like most women, you are probably wondering what colors will best accentuate your eye color and which eye shadows to stay away from. Remember that eye shadow should always coordinate with your eye color not your outfit color – this is not a fashion trend, but a beauty basic every woman should know.

Take the guess work (and stress) out of choosing the right eye shadow colors by purchasing an eye shadow set that is meant for your specific eye color.  See the perfect eye shadow collection for blue eyes, brown eyes and green eyes.

The June Cleaver 1950’s Eye Makeup Look

Other 50’s era female TV stars included Barbara Billingsley, who played Beaver’s mother June Cleaver. June’s makeup was subtle: what you notice is the seeming clarity of her skin and eyes. Again, no shadow was in evidence: as a married housewife, June didn’t have the lifestyle for shaded lids.

Bright, Happy Eye Makeup in the Sixties and Beehives

Makeup in the 60’s, like fashion and lots of other things, went wild. If you’ve seen Love, American Style, or Laugh-In, you’ve also seen mile-high beehives, minuscule skirts, and piles of  bright shadows (often in blue and green), thick   mascara and false, furry eyelashes (often worn by the same woman at the same time), and eyebrows that ranged from dense and black to virtually  non-existent. The 60’s were about the time when mascara started becoming higher in quality. Women wanted gigantic eyes, and makeup that wouldn’t run. They were sick of gluing on false lashes which could fall off into the soup when you least expected it. Mascara responded by becoming more user-friendly.

More Suble Eye Makeup of the 70’s & Polyester

After the 60’s, 70’s styles seemed downright tame, but looking back from 2004, the 70’s still look pretty freakish. Skirts were still tiny, and short-shorts and bikinis made the summertime scene. Polyester made leisure suits a weird part  of the masculine wardrobe, and men who weren’t  even pimps wore gold chains and pinky rings. In makeup, glitter became part of daytime looks, shimmering in slippery lip gloss, sparkling in eye  shadows and glimmering up foundations. James Bond movies spanned the 60’s and 70’s, giving us a timeless look at bizarre fashions and makeup that could be put on with a trowel.

Fashion and Makeup was Bigger and Bolder in the 1980’s

The eighties styles were silk blouses and big shoulder pads, and eye makeup became an important part of the career woman’s wardrobe. Maybe because women were trying harder than ever before to smash through the recently-identified glass ceiling, makeup was assertive, almost mask-like. Big           jewelry, thick hoop earrings and gold projected the dress-for-success look in the Me-decade. Lined and lipsticked mouths and shadowed, mascaraed eyes      competed for attention in faces gessoed smooth with thick foundations. Eyebrows tended to be more real and well-groomed rather than yanked out and drawn on, in keeping with the overall bolder, more                              “masculine”(natural) look.

Classic Makeup Styles for Today That Last

Since the nineties, a wide range of looks have  become acceptable, perhaps because with the aging of the general population, more women have found the style they’ll be staying with for the rest of their lives. Let’s face it, at some point, we all choose a look and pretty much stick with it, and women who were in their thirties and forties in the 80’s predominate in the population, while  younger women experiment with lighter makeup, more casual hairstyles and the smaller trends that wash across the seasons in little waves.

If you look at modern-day stars like Isabella Rossilini, Kate Hudson, Julia Roberts and Julianne Moore, you’ll notice that, while makeup enhance          their natural looks, it never takes center stage. Lipsticks are a slightly stronger expression of natural lip colors, foundations are muted, and eye                 makeup draw attention not to itself, but to the eyes. It’s not that these women don’t wear makeup–they do–it’s that the makeup is applied                       with perfect restraint (and then thoroughly airbrushed, but that’s another story).

Beauty Tips for Finding Your Own Classic Eye Makeup & Brows Styling

If you want to be current with your own eye makeup, spend a lot of time figuring out which colors play up the color and shape of your eyes. Don’t fall for trendy colors: you’ll just have to buy new ones in a couple of months, and they won’t look that great on you anyway. Check out neutral tones in beige, brown and grey, with slightly darker colors for evening. Experiment with            mascara, but keep in mind that, contrary to what the ads say, longer and thicker lashes are not  necessarily always better-looking. Cows have long,        thick lashes too. You want enough lashes to outline your eyes, but not so much that no-one can look away from them.

Eyebrows should be as natural as possible while observing a certain restraint in terms of thickness. If your brows are very pale, you might                            try a brow pencil, but go gently with it, and get opinions from real and honest friends before taking your new look outside.

As trends have taken us from one extreme to another, finding your own look keeps you from making fashion mistakes that will haunt you in                  photographs for years to come. With the medical and cosmetics industries coming up with more and more sophisticated formulas, it’s a good idea to     check out new products that contain sunscreens, hypoallergenic properties and herbal or cosmeceutical ingredients shown to decrease lines, prevent skin cancer or soothe sensitive skin. Obviously, you aren’t going to buy into every     fashion fairy tale: decades ago, women were using hormones extracted from animals as anti-aging moisturizers. But when you do find something that     works for you, you can dance for joy and bless the fashion goddesses for bringing you clearer skin, fewer wrinkles or non-greasy protection from UV     rays. With recent advances in skin care, just  imagine what the next decade will bring!
